When we asked the THU Tribe at THU 2014 who they wanted to see this year, we heard Craig Mullins time and again.

With such a spectacular lineup in 2014, we were often asked how we were going to top it in 2015. Well, we like a challenge here at Trojan Horse was a Unicorn. So not only are we bringing you art legends including Iain McCaig, Kim Jung Gi, Paul Briggs and a host of other huge names, but you’ll get to meet and learn from Craig Mullins as well, the master of the speedpaint.

Craig Mullins is a conceptual designer, illustrator, and matte painter who has worked in film, TV, computer games, and publishing for over 20 years. Craig landed in the Art Department at Industrial Light & Magic in 1991, where he met John Knoll, ILM VFX Supervisor and co-creator of Photoshop. He began experimenting and developing his own digital brushes for Photoshop. His work evolved into a signature 'painterly' style and technique that came to be known as digital 'quick painting', or 'speedpainting'.

Currently living in California, Craig will be flying to Portugal this September to meet the THU Tribe, share a beer with attendees, pass on his infinite wisdom, and enjoy the beauty of Troia. If you’ve got a ticket to THU 2015, we look forward to seeing you there! If you missed out on tickets, don’t forget to check out THU TV for all the behind-the-scenes action, artist talks, and exclusive shows.
